YANG ZONG BAO is a 'general' in the BEIJING OPERA. He is wearing a magnificent blue and white silk dragon robe of an emperor embroidered with threads of gold. The robe itself must be constructed of separate layers of material in order to allow the graceful, acrobatic dance movements necessary to perform in the opera. On his head is an elaborate headdress encrusted with faux-jewels, pearls and pom-poms. White and gold platform boots add stature to his presence.
